11 Best Babymoon Destinations Around the World

11 Best Babymoon Destinations Around the World

Babymoons are becoming more and more popular these days and relationship experts actually say that taking a romantic vacation before delivering your child can have positive long-term effects

Regardless of whether or not you subscribe to traditions, who doesn’t want an excuse to take a relaxing vacation with your loved one before your world becomes just that little bit more hectic?

But this isn’t just any old trip, babymoons require a little more thought before you can jet off on the romantic trip of a lifetime. Thankfully many resorts around the world offer babymoon-specific packages that include all your accommodation, meals, spa treatments, and even photoshoots, so let’s have a look at the best babymoon destinations around the world.

Babymoon Ideas

As I mentioned earlier, there are a few things to consider before jumping straight into booking one of the gorgeous hotels below.

First, you should decide on what type of babymoon you want to have. Many people opt for a relaxing beach vacation but you may be more interested in exploring a historic city or even enjoying nature in an easily accessible national park

Before you let your mind run too wild, you also have to think about your physical limitations. I would recommend avoiding physically demanding vacations, safaris, and any other activity that is unsuitable for pregnant women.

Another thing to consider is the distance you feel comfortable traveling. You don’t want to take flights that are too long or travel too far from medical attention, just in case you need assistance. Well, at least in theory because in my case, I decided to venture quite far away 🙂

When to Go for a Babymoon?

Taking a babymoon in your second trimester is the perfect time to enjoy your last bit of freedom for a while.

By the second trimester, you should usually be over your morning sickness but your baby bump isn’t yet hindering your movement

While it is possible to travel in your third trimester, check with your doctor before booking a trip. Most obstetrician and gynecologist recommendations are to stop air travel after 36 weeks of pregnancy however certain airlines require you to have a doctor’s note at 28 weeks.
